THE GARDNERS
Andy and Janice Gardner joined the Fairlane Alliance family in August, 2007 after serving the Lord in the West African country of Guinea for 17 years. Andy was born and raised in Guinea where his parents lived and ministered for nearly 30 years. Janice was born in Saigon, S. Vietnam where her parents served under the C&MA as regional director for the United Bible Society. In 1969 her family moved to Singapore where her father oversaw UBS translation projects for all of Asia and the Pacific.
Andy and Janice have 3 boys – Dan, Peter and Nathan.
They have taken as their life ministry verse Colossians 4:3-4: “And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.”
The Gardners have a love for Muslim people and long to build bridges of love and understanding with the Muslim population of Wayne county.

THE HOFFMANS
In 2003, Peter and Brenda Hoffman were called into full-time missions out of professional backgrounds, where Pete was a middle school teacher for 13 years and Brenda was a Physician Assistant for 10 years. They attended Grace Theological Seminary and both obtained Masters degrees in intercultural ministries. Peter and Brenda moved their family from Fort Wayne, Indiana to the Detroit area in 2007 and spent 2 ½ years in urban ministry in preparation for overseas missions.
They now at serve at Fairlane Alliance Church where Pete is the Assistant Pastor, overseeing adult ministries, outreach and the college and career-aged group, ReMade.
They are awaiting their missionary assignment for overseas ministry. Brenda works as a Physician Assistant at a Christian clinic for the underserved in Southwest Detroit. They have three children, Micah 11, Kylee 9, and Noah 6.
